The Department of Tourism (DOT) of the Philippines has launched a new campaign called 'Wake up in the Philippines'
"The campaign is also Philippine Tourism’s response to stand united with other countries in the call for citizens to temporarily stay at home and flatten the curve, as exhibited by the United Nations World Tourism Organization’s (UNWTO) #TravelTomorrow and World Travel and Tourism Council’s (WTTC) #TogetherInTravel campaigns." _ DOT
Meanwhile, there are places that are already open to the public such as Baguio, Tagaytay, and Boracay. But the "tourist must be limited" to adhere to the policy due to the threat of covid-19. It is expected to gradually open up over the next few months depending on the results of their experiment and to the progress of the Philippines in the covid-19 response.
