Guide to verify your Pi Network account
A Guide To Verify Your Pi Network Account
Pi Network is one of the most promising digital currencies shaping the future of Technology and Finance. In the year 2021 when I discovered Pi Network, one of my friends send it to me but I am skeptical about it, at those times my attention is on NTF games like Axie Infinity and My Defi pet. Eventually, I became interested when I read the history and White Paper of the Pi Network. Like other cryptocurrencies, the Pi Network aims to be one of the most used digital cryptocurrencies similar to Bitcoin.Pi network's ambitious objective is to be a widely used digital currency on the entire web, similar to Bitcoin. But unlike BTC, an accidental creation [the birth of cryptocurrency], the Pi Core Team is pushing this through, working tirelessly to achieve its ambitious goal.
Many questions remain floating around because the Pi Network has not yet been fully launched. It's now live on Mainnet but cannot be used since the KYC has yet to start, which means that the work is in progress to be fully operational. The current 29,000,000 miners (Pioners) are expected to migrate from Testnet to Mainnet upon Mass KYC is available. At that stage, a Pi miner will undergo KYC verification to ensure the account user's humanness. Pi Network strictly implements one Pi account per person to prevent fraudulent activities. KYC is the last process of verification to eventually use the Pi wallet to transfer their earnings to other users and exchange different cryptocurrencies. Pi has no value yet but is now available to significant currency trading platforms just like Binance. Some enthusiasts' projects that upon launch Pi could have $10 value and could increase further.
How to be a Pi miner?
A simple registration using this link will redirect you to the Pi website. Download the app and register using your cellphone number. Pi requires you to register with the invitation code [RVL11]. Please note that you need to use your real name and surname so you can quickly approve the KYC or its verification process. After you register you will only be given a few days to edit and make sure that your name entered in the registration is correct, after that you will not be able to change your name again.
Verification and KYC
You cannot transfer what you mine from Testnet to Mainnet if you are not a verified Pi user. A verified Pi user means passed the three verification processes and the KYC. This means you will go through four authentication processes to ensure a Pi user is a legitimate human. These four processes are the following:
- Phone verification is required to transfer your Pi coin to the Mainnet wallet.
- Process: Go to your Pi app, -> Profile, -> Phone number, -> view instructions. Read the instructions carefully; copy the code and the phone number to which you sent the code. Go to your phone's message, enter the phone number, in the recipients make sure to put + sign in front of the number.[Example: (+16508220314)] Type the code in the message. [Example: 336] Remember only the code, nothing else. Send the code using the number you've registered in your Pi account. Ensure your number has a regular load [of at least 15 pesos.] to send the message abroad. Proceed to the Pi app and click "I have already sent the code." Wait for a few seconds to verify your account. A green check will appear once verified.
- Facebook verification - this is additional protection for password recovery in case you forget your account.
- Process: Open your Pi app, click Profile, and click Facebook verification. [Please follow the instructions.] Once verified, a green check will appear.
- Password verification sets up the Pass Phrase in your Pi wallet. These are 24 phrases that will help you unlock your Pi wallet account. Also, you can set your fingerprint as your unlock key. Chatting down the Pass Phrase and keeping them for your future use is recommended.
- Process: Open your Pi app, go to Profile, and click Password verification. [Please follow the instructions.] Once your password is verified, a green check will appear.
- KYC - Submission of a government ID similar to the name registered in the system is required. So par only 100 + 50 users of each country had verified their account, this is part of the testing process of Mass KYC soon.
