A Guide To Verify your Pi Network Account

Pi Network is one of the most promising digital currencies that will shape the future of Technology and Finance. In the year 2021 when I discovered Pi Network, one of my friends send it to me but I am skeptical about it, at those times my attention is on NTF games like Axie Infinity and My Defi pet. Eventually, I became interested when I read the history and White Paper of the Pi Network. Like other cryptocurrencies, the Pi Network is aiming to be one of the most used coins or digital currencies similar to Bitcoin.

Pi network's ambitious objective is to be a widely used digital currency on the entire web similar to Bitcoin. But unlike BTC which seems to be an accident creation [the birth of cryptocurrency] the Pi Core Team really pushing this through; working tirelessly to achieve its ambitious goal.

Many questions are still floating around right now because the Pi Network is yet fully lunch. As of the moment, it's now live on Mainnet but could not able to use since the KYC has yet to start, which means that the work is in progress to be fully operational. It is expected that the current 29,000,000 miners (Pioners) will migrate from Testnet to Mainnet upon Mass KYC is available. At that stage, a Pi miner will undergo KYC verification to ensure the humanness of the account user. Pi Network strictly implements one Pi account per person to prevent fraudulent activities. KYC is the last process of verification to eventually use the Pi wallet and could transfer their earnings to other users and exchange other cryptocurrencies as well. Currently, Pi has no value yet but is now available to major currency trading platforms just like Binance. Some enthusiasts' projects that upon launch Pi could have $10 value and could increase further.

How to be a Pi miner?

Verification and KYC
You cannot transfer
what you mine from Testnet to Mainnet if you are not a verified Pi user. A verified Pi user means had passed through the three verification processes and the KYC. This means you will go through four authentication processes to make sure that a Pi user is a legit human. These four processes are the following:

  • Phone verification - this is required for you to be able to transfer your Pi coin to the Mainnet wallet.
    • Process:  Go to your Pi app,  -> Profile, -> Phone number, -> view instructions. Read the instruction carefully; copy the code and the phone number to which you sent the code. Go to your phone's message, enter the phone number, in the recipients make sure to put + sign in front of the number.[Example: (+16508220314)] Type the code in the message. [Example: 336] remember only the code nothing else. Send the code using the number you've registered in your Pi accountMake sure that your number has a regular load [of at least 15 pesos.] to be able to send the message abroad. Proceed to the Pi app and click "I have already sent the code” wait for a few seconds to verify your account. A green check will appear once verified.

  • Facebook verification - this is additional protection for password recovery in case you forget your account.
    • Process:  Go to your Pi app,  -> Profile, -> Facebook verification [Please follow the instruction] A green check will appear once verified.

  • Password verification - this is for setting up the Pass Phrase of your Pi wallet. These are 24 phrases that would help you to unlock your Pi wallet account. Also, you can set your fingerprint as your unlock key. It is recommended to chat down the Pass Phrase and keep them for your future use.
    • Process:  Go to your Pi app,  -> Profile, -> Password verification [Please follow the instruction] A green check will appear once verified.
